Bunaken is a small island off the coast of the Indonesian city of Manado which is located in the Minahasa area, North Sulawesi. The inhabitants of Bunaken mainly live from fishing.
Bunaken is the biggest attraction on the island of Sulawesi. Most people come here because of the beautiful diving and snorkeling locations that are among the best in the world. Fortunately, this has not yet led to a massive influx of tourism, making Bunaken still an authentic Indonesian island.
